Certainty for complex projects
StratMonk is a project delivery consultancy working across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure projects — strategy, design, procurement, construction and close-out.
Our capability follows the project itself: pre-contract strategy and transaction, estimation and benchmarking, procurement, cost, contract and commercial management, design and engineering management, planning and project controls, construction and project management, and claims and dispute resolution through to close-out.
We advise. We embed specialists within project teams. And where a position has been lost, we recover it — applying the same discipline earlier so that it is not lost at all.
What we do Contact usWhen delivery departs from the plan
Difficulty on a major project rarely arises without warning, and rarely confines itself to one discipline. Entitlements remain unclaimed and notices unserved. Design develops beyond what was priced. Programmes cease to represent the works as executed, and forecasts no longer reflect the position beneath them.
By the time the consequence is beyond dispute, the position has usually been eroding for a considerable period. StratMonk is engaged both by projects that have reached that point and by those seeking to avoid it.
Diagnose
An independent assessment of the position as it stands — entitlement, exposure, design maturity, programme integrity, forecast accuracy, and the sufficiency of the contemporaneous record.
Recover
The substantiation of entitlement that exists but has not been claimed: delay and disruption, extension of time, and prolongation cost.
Reset
Where the original allocation of risk has become untenable, the negotiation of a revised commercial basis — including model resets from lump sum to cost-reimbursable.
Stabilise
Where the requirement is capability rather than negotiation: commercial, controls, engineering or delivery personnel placed into the project to restore function.
Across the full lifecycle, on either side of the contract
Major projects fail in the space between disciplines — where a design decision is never priced, a variation never programmed, or a forecast never reconciled against the contract. Our capability is engaged as advisory input, as embedded specialists, or as an interim function.
We act upstream and downstream: prosecuting entitlement and defending against it, for principals, contractors and subcontractors alike.

Capability, placed where it is required
Advice alone does not deliver a project. StratMonk is engaged in two modes, and most engagements combine both.
Advisory
Senior specialist input on a defined question — a contract under negotiation, an estimate requiring validation, a programme requiring independent review, or a claim requiring development.
Embedded specialists
Our people working within a project team for the duration required. Commercial managers, contract administrators, quantity surveyors, estimators, planners, project controls engineers, cost managers, design managers, engineering managers, design engineers, site engineers, project engineers, construction managers and project managers.
We place people at every level of the supply chain and at every stage of delivery. The same clause, programme or forecast reads differently depending on the position held, and anticipating that is much of the work.
How we workWhere complexity lives
We work across the asset classes where contract value, delivery complexity and commercial risk are highest.
Discuss an engagement
Whether the requirement is structuring a contract, resourcing a project team, validating a forecast or recovering a position that has slipped, an initial conversation carries no obligation.
